Organic Sesame Massage Oils ingredients include Organic Cured Sesamum indicum (Sesame) oil.

Boost your immune system and restore a sense of well-being

Just like regular application of a high-grade motor oil can extend your car's performance for years and years, the daily ayurvedic self-massage with a top-quality massage oil can help extend your own performance, overall well-being and longevity.

The daily oil massage lubricates and tones the skin, muscles and joints; improves circulation; helps the elimination of toxins from the blood; elevates energy levels; helps calm the mind and nerves and sharpen the mind.

Traditionally recommended in the ayurvedic texts, Organic Sesame Oil contains linoleic acid and alpha-linoleic acid; Vitamins A, B and E; and a number of minerals.

Try our pure golden Organic Sesame Oil — it's extra-light, chemical-free and cold-pressed, with antioxidant properties to help purify the skin and combat free radicals that can cause premature wrinkling and aging of skin.

Sesame Oil 16 oz.

organic cured sesamum indicum (sesame) oil.

Suggested Use: Keep your oil in a plastic squeeze bottle and warm it to slightly above body temperature by putting your bottle into a larger container of hot water for a few minutes. The massage should be done with the palm of your hand rather than the fingertips. Apply a small amount of warm oil to the hands and start by massaging the scalp briskly. Apply a thin film of oil to the rest of your body and then massage each part. The proper motion is up and down on the long bones and circular over the joints. A warm bath or shower is recommended after your oil massage. About 10-20 minutes is ideal for your massage each morning. However, it is better to do a very brief massage than to skip it altogether.

SAFETY NOTE: All oils are highly flammable. Be sure to observe proper safety precautions. Clothing, linens, towels, etc. that have absorbed oil should be laundered immediately, thoroughly and with special attention. Storing oily towels can result in spontaneous combustion/fire hazard. Automatic drying can overheat the oil residue in cloth and create a fire hazard. If machine drying, use low heat and remove as soon as dry.

Sesame Oil 64 oz.

organic sesamum indicum (sesame) oil.

1. Before using your oil, it is best to purify or “cure” it for massage. Heat the oil in small amounts to 212° F — the boiling temperature of water. To know when the oil is hot enough, use a cooking thermometer.*

2. 2-4 ounces of cured sesame oil is sufficient for your daily massage. Keep your oil in a plastic squeeze bottle and warm it to slightly above body temperature by putting your bottle into a larger container of hot water for a few minutes.

3. The massage should be done with the open part of the hand rather than the fingertips. Spend more time on the head and feet during your massage.

4. Apply a small amount of warm oil to the hands and start by massaging the scalp briskly. Apply oil gently to the face and outer part of the ears, the front and back of the neck, and the upper spine.

5. Apply a thin film of oil to the rest of your body, and then massage each part. Begin with the arms, hands and fingers. The proper motion is up and down on the long bones, and circular over the joints.

6. Use a gentle circular motion over the heart, then gently move clockwise over the abdomen area. Massage the back and spine as well as you can, then the legs, and lastly the feet. Massage the soles of your feet vigorously.

7. A warm bath or shower is recommended after your oil massage.

8. About 10-20 minutes is ideal for your massage each morning. However, it is better to do a very brief massage than to skip it altogether.

*SAFETY NOTE: All oils are highly flammable. Be sure to observe proper safety precautions. Keep children away when curing oil. Use low rather than high heat and never leave the room while the oil is heating. Remove the oil promptly once the proper temperature is reached, and store the oil in a safe place when cooling.
