Maharishi Ayurveda Products International, Inc (MAPI) is a leading research, manufacturing and global distribution firm specializing in ayurvedic herbal supplements, teas, gourmet food products and beauty care. MAPI employs more than 50 administrative, fulfillment, marketing and call center staff.

History

• 1985: Started business in Fairfield, IA
• 1993: Moved to expanded facilities in Colorado Springs, CO
• 1997: Relocated to new building utilizing the productivity enhancing architecture of Sthapatya Veda. Facilities include 47,000 square feet of warehouse, fulfillment and production space and 25,000 square feet office space.

The Environmental Protection Agency also estimates that the health of 30 to 70 million U.S. workers are at risk because of the buildings they work in. Maharishi Ayurveda Products is located in a building that actually helps create better health. It's constructed according to the ancient design principles of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda® architecture. Maharishi explains that "Sthapatya Veda design gives dimensions, formulas, and orientations to the building that will provide cosmic harmony and support to the individual for his peace, prosperity and good health -- daily life in accord with Natural Law." There are three basic principles of Sthapatya Veda architecture:

• Right direction. You want your house and work space to face due east or due north.
• Right room placement. Sthapatya designs locate the healthy position for each room in your home or office building.
• Right proportion. The rooms should be the right size in relation to each other.

MAPI's new home is the first Sthapatya Veda building in Colorado. It includes rooms for meditation and rejuvenation treatments, windows that open for fresh air and an outdoor fountain and waterfall.
