Wild Rice

Rice is every bit as versatile as pasta while containing fewer calories. It's gluten-free, non-allergenic, low in fat and sodium, and free of cholesterol. If you haven't had rice lately (or even if you have), here's a delicious ayurvedic recipe for wild rice.



  1. Sauté washed rice with all spices in ghee for 5 minutes on medium heat. Stir constantly.
  2. Add boiling water and cover until water evaporates to rice level.
  3. Lower heat and simmer until all water evaporates; approximately 35-40 minutes.
